Summer Grass Program

Doubles is a fantastic game! Doubles has its own strategies for offense and defense. It's own serve-receive strategies. It even has its own language/terminology.  We're proud to continue our summer doubles grass program!  Doubles becomes addictively fun as its own game and will give you a whole new avenue of this great sport to love.  Learning doubles will also dramatically improve your indoor game!

Summer Grass Program Summary

We have two doubles programs over the summer. One is a more holistic program where we work on volleyball soft skills and how to play the doubles game. The other is a more competitive program for advanced players with club experience (indoor or doubles). The competitive program will require players to tryout and will play in a few tournaments.

GRASS PROGRAM 

• 6 week Program: Start Week of June 3 -  Last Practice July 24
• Participants must register as a team
  • Open to boys and girls but no co-ed pairs. Teams must be boy/boy or girl/girl
  • No individual registrations - players must register in pairs
    • each player will register and then assign themselves to their team
• Practice twice a week for 2 hours
  • Tue/Thur - 6pm - 8pm at Redstone Park in Highlands Ranch (very close to our gym location).
• Learn Doubles Rules and differences from Indoor
• Learn the "language" of doubles - terminology
• Learn defense and serve-receive strategy for doubles
• Grass program cost is $500 per player

COMPETITIVE GRASS PROGRAM 

• 6 week Program: Start Week of June 3 -  Last Practice July 24
• Practice twice a week for 2 hours
• USAV ages 15s - 18s 
  • players who will be high school freshmen in 2025-2026 school year but are still 14s will be accepted
  • 18s players must be in high school during the 2025-2026 school year
• Players must register as a team (Boys and girls welcome but no co-ed teams)
  • each player will register and then assign themselves to their team
  • registration is for TRYOUTS ONLY
• Players will receive a practice shirt and uniform
• Competitive Grass program cost is $700 per player for teams selected after tryouts.
